DR. CHARLES FOWLER

Dr. Fowler is the President of School Leadership, LLC, and has served for 35 years as a school and BOCES superintendent in four states (DeKalb, Illinois; Fairfield, Connecticut; Sarasota County, Florida; Nassau County, New York; Hewlett-Woodmere, New York). The author of more than 55 books, articles, and monographs, Dr. Fowler has been honored by numerous local, state and national organizations and is a Past-President of The Horace Mann League of the USA and former President and Executive Secretary of the national Suburban School Superintendents.

RINA BEDER

Ms. Beder served 6 years on the board of education of a large, high-achieving suburban school district, including as the president and vice president.  She also served on the board of a regional school board representing 54 public school districts.  Ms. Beder has led and facilitated meetings on board governance and organized community conversations on issues including space and enrollment, curriculum, and student mental health and has actively advocated at the State level on behalf of 77 public school districts as a member of the steering committee for the Lower Hudson Education Coalition. She holds a J.D. and a Masters in Management and Organizational Studies and also completed the Columbia Teachers College Educational Policy Fellowship Program.

Allan R. Berry

ALLAN R. BERRY

Mr. Berry is a former teacher, Dean of Faculty and Student Services and Director of Personnel and Community Relations in the Brockport Central School District.  He has served as an interim human resource administrator and provides human resource consultation services to a number of New York school districts.

DR. JOYCE BISSO

Dr. Bisso is a former teacher, principal, assistant superintendent and superintendent of schools as well as

a former President of a local board of education. An author and presenter on educational organization

and leadership, she currently serves on the New York State Grievance Committee for the Tenth Judicial

District.

DR. MARTIN BROOKS

Dr. Brooks is a former Superintendent in several Long Island communities. Currently he serves as the

Director of the Tri-States Consortium of public school districts in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut

DR. FRANK CHIACHIERE

Dr. Chiachiere is currently a member of both an elementary and high school district board of education in Valley Stream, New York.  A former administrator and adjunct professor, he has participated in dozens of superintendent searches in the New York area.

ANTHONY DICARLO

Mr. DiCarlo served for 34 years as a public school educator in the state of New York, holding various positions in central office, as well as principal, assistant principal, athletic director and classroom teacher. He retired in 2022 from his position as the Superintendent of Schools for the Mahopac Central School District. Mr. DiCarlo currently serves as an Adjunct Professor at the Center for Integrated Training and Education at the College of Saint Rose. 

DR. LARUTH GRAY

Dr. Gray is a former principal, director and superintendent of schools, and is currently Deputy Director of New York University's Metropolitan Center for Urban Education.  She is nationally known for her leadership in the arts and in public schools.

DR. ALBERT INSERRA

Dr. Inserra has been an educator at the public school and university levels for more than 50 years, including 17 as a Superintendent of Schools, and 18 as a Professor, Dean and President.  He has also served as President of the Nassau County Council of School Superintendents and has worked with school boards on building positive Board-Superintendent relationships.  Dr. Inserra has particular research interests in the area of school finance.

DR. MICHAEL MCGILL

Dr. McGill  is a former teacher, headmaster, and superintendent of schools in Scarsdale and North Shore, New York, and is a Professor of Educational Leadership at Bank Street College in New York City.

DR. RANIER MELUCCI

Dr. Melucci is currently an Associate Professor in Administration and Instructional Leadership at St. John's University. He retired after thirteen years as a school superintendent in the Seaford (LI) and Merrick (LI) Public Schools.  He also served as a high school principal in Baldwin (LI) and as Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction in the Manhasset Public Schools.

DR. ROSEANNE C. MELUCCI

After 32 years as a public school educator, Dr. Roseanne Melucci retired from her position as the Superintendent of Schools for the East Rockaway school district.  Dr. Melucci has held other administrative positions at both the building and central office levels, and currently serves as Adjunct Professor of School Leadership for SUNY Stony Brook and the New York Institute of Technology.

DR. KENNETH MITCHELL

Dr. Mitchell is a former teacher, building and central office administrator, and superintendent of schools in the South Orangetown, New York Central School District, and is currently an Associate Professor in the doctoral program at Manhattanville College.

DR. ROY MONTESANO

Dr. Montesano is the former Superintendent of the Bronxville, New York School District. Prior to that, Dr. Montesano served as a Superintendent for 19 years in New York and New Jersey. In addition, Dr. Montesano held the positions of Assistant Superintendent, Principal, and classroom teacher. In 2012, Dr. Montesano was named the New Jersey Superintendent of the year. Dr. Montesano is currently an Adjunct Professor at Ramapo College of New Jersey.

Dr. DAVID QUATTRONE

Dr. David Quattrone served as a school superintendent for fourteen years in Indian Hill, Ohio and twelve years in Bronxville, New York.  Other leadership positions have included Judge for the Malcolm Baldridge National Quality Award, and President of both the Headmasters’ Association and of Suburban School Superintendents.

JOHN SCHIESS

John Schiess served as the Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources for the Pittsford Central School District after serving there as Director of Technology. His prior experience includes work as a Teacher of General and Special Education, Special Education Training Specialist and Director of Management Information Systems for the Rochester City School District. Mr. Schiess has served as adjunct faculty at the Monroe Community College and the University of Rochester. His career in education has spanned more than forty six years. He is currently on the NYSSBA adjunct faculty and has facilitated multiple superintendent searches.

DR. EDWARD SHINE

Dr. Shine served for 16 years as Superintendent of the Rye City School District in Westchester County, New York.  Prior to this Dr. Shine served for 11 years as Superintendent of the Grosse Pointe, Michigan public school district, where he also served as an Assistant Superintendent.  He has also served as Superintendent of the Diocesan Schools of Northeastern Connecticut. 

DR. HOWARD SMITH

Dr. Smith is the former Superintendent of the Williamsville, New York and East Aurora, New York schools.  A former teacher, high school principal and Assistant Superintendent for Personnel, Dr. Smith chaired the NYSCOSS Task Force on Teacher and Principal Effectiveness during the 2010-11 school year.  He also serves as a consultant for Webster-Szanyi LLP, a Buffalo-based law firm that represents in various capacities a number of western New York school districts.   

NANCY TADDIKEN

Ms. Taddiken is the former Superintendent of the Edgemont, New York school district where she served with distinction for 23 years, following successful teaching and principal assignments.  Nancy is the current Coordinator for the Lower Hudson Council of School Superintendents. 

DR. KATHY WEISS

Dr. Weiss retired in 2005 as the Superintendent of the Baldwin (NY) public schools.  A former high school principal and central office administrator, Dr. Weiss also served as president of the Nassau County Council of School Superintendents and the Nassau Association of District Curriculum Officials, and currently serves as a Trustee of the Nassau County Community College

SUSAN ELION WOLLIN

Ms. Wollin served 12 years as a member of the Bedford Central Board of Education, 8 as Board President, and served two terms as President of the Westchester Putnam School Boards Association. She is an executive search and staffing consultant to corporations, professional services firms, and non-profits with expertise recruiting senior-level communications and public relations executives, school district administrative leadership, and audience curation.  She co-leads governance workshops for school districts and is a published author on board governance.
