Leadership in today's schools and school districts requires an ability to engage board, staff, and school community in significant planning activities. Increasingly, goals and expectations are being set by the state and Federal governments; the local school community has its own goals and expectations which may or may not be consistent with those set from afar. This requires that the school community become engaged with the local school board and its leaders so that both external and internal needs can be met. The associates of School Leadership can assist local schools and districts by facilitating the needed community conversations that can help develop a clear strategic plan for Board adoption and implementation.
